Become a certified diver

Regularly scheduled courses take place over two days, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This way we avoid weekend crowds, leading to a much better learning experience. Upcoming dates include:

• December 6-7, 2022
• January 10-11, 2022

We can accommodate groups of four or more on a custom schedule at our regular per-person price. For individuals and smaller groups, private or semi-private training is also available but costs more. Call or come in for details.

Be aware you must complete the eLearning ahead of time and stop by the store the day before to be fitted for gear. Additionally, if after committing to a schedule you cancel or fail to make the scheduled dates, your course deposit may be forfeit.

• Be at least 10 years old
• Be able to swim at least 200 yards
• Be able to answer No to all the questions on the medical history questionnaire or obtain a physician’s approval for diving

Pricing is as follows:

• $495/person
• Price is contingent on having at least four students per class. Otherwise, private course fees apply.

Not included:

• Dive site admission

Become a certified NAUI Scuba Diver.

• Your training starts as soon as you sign up. Complete the NAUI eLearning course at your convenience, prior to your in-water training. Stop by the store the day before to be fitted for gear.

• On the first day, you’ll go to Devil’s Den or Blue Grotto in Williston. You’ll spend the morning in the pool and the afternoon making your first two open-water dives.

• On Sunday, you’ll drift dive beautiful Rainbow River north of Dunnellon. Here you will make your final two open-water dives.
